Motivation to work in Egypt

Campus El Gouna as a research and teaching center can help connect the gap between human and water resources. Working as a water engineer at Campus El Gouna offers the opportunity to work with western resources in a country with a small fresh water availability. Water and wastewater management is a challenge in arid and semi-arid countries, with good management of water we can face the difficulties which are coming to us in the future. Not only climate change, water pollution but also population growth is a challenge for us in the future. I am happy to contribute to the current developments in the water sector.

Short curriculum vitae

During her studies in Civil engineering at Fachhochschule Aachen, she studied at the Namibian University of Science and Technology. Her Bachelor thesis was written about the future water supply of Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, who is facing a lack of water. For a water related master study she choose RWTH Aachen University. Her master thesis was written in cooperation with IWA in the WaCCliM-project. Here she developed an expansion of the ECAM-tool with a water efficiency component.

Since June 2017 she works for Campus El Gouna and coaches the students in the subjects Water Supply and Sanitation I & II as well as Water Reuse Technology and an integrated project were their skills to develop water and wastewater infrastructure are practiced.
