Honorable Red Sea Governor General Ahmed Abdallah was being present for the second day of the conference and encouraged a continued scientific cooperation leading to practical outputs for the betterment of the Red Sea Region and overall Egypt.

"A great success!", resumed Prof. Dr. Rudolf Schäfer, Study Dean of the Urban Development department of TU Berlin Campus El Gouna and Chairman of the QoL organizing committee.

The conference marked the starting point of intensified scientific cooperation between the Egyptian Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) and the Campus El Gouna of Technische Universität Berlin.

In the future the Qol-Conference served as a pilot for a future joint-international scientific conference series (annual or bi-annual) on the topic of improving the quality of life urban and rural areas in Egypt and the Global South.
